Review on YC D706008 Differential Carrier Case for Dana 30 Axle by Yukon Gear & Axle by Phil Kowal

Don't review often but hopefully I can save someone else my costly troubles, after finding out my 4.88 gears were mounted on a lower numbered carrier I ordered this, to get my new install right. The cross pin didn't fit, I opened up a few thousand holes and the pin seemed to go in fine so I put it back together. On my first outing I broke a cross pin in my locker which I have been using for over 7 years with no problems. When I ripped it apart I found that the pin had destroyed my new gears as well as my locker. The pin appears to be tight on both sides, but only has a lot of play on one side. This could cause the pin to bend and break. I should have gotten another medium when I noticed the pen didn't fit, but Yukon should have quality control. Don't buy that and get a condiment carrier. I now have an extra $500 for gear to craft.
