This is the second set of key cases we have purchased for these keys and the previous set lasted around 2 years. We've only had them for a few months, time will tell how durable they are. However, for the price I wouldn't fret if they only lasted a few years. The design is nice in that you use your existing key, while other versions require you to have a new key. I ran into the same issues that many others have written about: the lids don't close completely. So far this has not caused any performance problems.
