I've been building rods for almost 20 years and have tried pretty much every brand but I keep coming back to Flex Coat. Unless you are an experienced rod builder use a high build formula. It's a thicker formula, so it's much easier to control and more forgiving than the low structure, which is thinner and tends to build up in the middle if you use too much, creating a high slick. Your coverage will be more even if you use a thick layer.
