Awesome bushings for 2005 Matrix Corolla

I installed these bushings on my 2005 Matrix using a Mevotech MK80230 stabilizer link kit. Be sure to hit the bolts clamping the bushing with WD40 or a liquid wrench the day before to make sure it's fully seated. I hit the bolts two days in a row and they came off easily. Also, use Super Lube 21030 Synthetic Grease (NLGI 2), 3 ounce tube, on all hub contact points to eliminate unwanted squeaks and noise. Also clean the screws when you put them back in place and use some thread lock to make sure they stay in place. I noticed that the passenger's original hub slot was facing forward and the driver's original hub slot was facing backwards. So I installed my new hub just like the originals. Took me about two hours. This may take less time if you have a hydraulic jack and a 12mm ratchet wrench. I used a jack and a regular 12 wrench. I took my Matrix for a test drive and noticed that there is less vibration in the engine compartment, no noise and no squeaks.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some little things
