Okay so I tried a plateless version of this style which was more difficult to install and didn't particularly work so I got it got based on previous reviews I install them on a CNC router I built a table to use one of these placemats (with the heavy molded legs being fiberglass reinforced nylon. So the problem is the hardware already works so there's 300 Pounds on the table (because of the CNC compressor) It was hard to tell where to attach it as the real legs are nylon So the first thing I did (and was the key piece to installing) was the block 1 inch thick (25.4mm for those not in the US), in this case just put a plate on top of the block and then the holes are at de r right place. The screws that came with it didn't quite fit in one of the holes (I think they're 6mm screws) so I figured the screw was 1/4-20 x 3 inch [note: should be countersunk, not pan head or hex] fit perfectly and it worked (obviously you also need a 1/4-20 nut). I inserted a video. Pressed and voila, everything rose off the floor as expected. It takes a few seconds to install each one (I pre-drilled a pilot hole and then drilled a 1/4" hole), then insert the studs, tighten the screws with a screwdriver and insert the roller. better because it is very difficult to install when the roller is in place, and the panel is trivial. I also like that I can take them off in 2 seconds if needed by just pulling the pins. To be honest, an elementary school kid could install them (and lift the equipment, by the way) with a little preparation. The wrench is 1" off the ground for the base of the panel (and the small block it rests on when drilling). The *cough* instructions included in the box don't even mention a 1" Gap height but the entry above does so I went along with it (which was correct - or at least worked very well) I'm editing the review I left when I got to the 4th caster, of course there was no plate - ugh I almost hate removing the part to "return" it as it's more work than it looks (insanely fiddly around the hardware. And 3 of them are bolted on.
