Not Scary - Pots and Pans
The lid is loose and has no pressure vent, allowing steam to escape from all sides of the lid, allowing water to splatter onto the sides and create a mess. The steamer insert is flimsy, but it stays in place well enough to get the job done. If you're buying this for crab legs and steaming is still relatively doable, I suggest simply removing the insert, taking the lid off, and simmering those suckers. The kettle itself is of good quality and looks nice. Hope that helps.
