Best tool for the job. I have been in the maritime business for over 40 years. I've broken almost every end cap removal tool and usually have to resort to a percussion gun. After breaking my last Yamaha and then snap-on tool, I took the plunge and purchased this set. I had to reprint 2 saltwater engines, Yamaha 115 '06 and '07. I used this set and a 1/2" cheat bar and all six end caps came off easily! I was surprised. I called a few friends in the industry and let them know I finally have a tool that actually works pins go all the way into the plug. Then just pull a little. It's not a cheap tool by design or price, but you get what you pay for. In my business, time is money, if I can remove the end cap in less than 5 minutes, it was worth it. If you are not a trained technician, one piece of advice: Properly support the engine and relieve all pressure with a manual relief valve!
