The most serious tool I've ever seen

I ordered these to replace several different brands and styles of mobile devices that I carry with me. Haven't used them yet but they look like they'll do the job. Good workmanship!@

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • old

Well made and reasonably priced

Probably one of the best wrenches for this application but I wish the pins were either stronger or less brittle. You get a set of replacement pins, and if you're dealing with a 15-year-old saltwater engine, you're going to need them.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Which makes a wrench useless. The other two wrenches are fine

One of the wrenches I received had the threaded part that the pin screws into the wrench off center, preventing the pin from screwing in and fully engaging. Which makes a wrench useless. The other two keys were fine.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Updates

Superb tool kit

You get what you pay for. In this case, this is exactly what you need for servicing the tilt/trim units and steering cylinders. Oil seals already replaced on Honda 90 and Yamaha 250. Works perfect. Excellent grip on the caps without damaging the surface of the caps or stems. This is the quality of "Sanp-On". Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Very expensive

Worth the money for fluids and maintenance

The price put me off a bit but I had to fix some trim parts and the Yamaha tooling was ordered again until someone knows when. They came and I used them straight away. The quality is awesome, even with the 2" tube on the blow bar (thrust), the tool held up and never slipped. As a marine mechanic with over 35 years of experience, I say these tools are worth the money!

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • weak

Great product but overpriced

Works as it should. It is necessary to do it yourself. Do not try any of the shortcuts shown on YouTube. Nine times out of ten, you're causing a very costly problem by working on something that's been soaked in water for years. Salt water exacerbates the situation. But I hate it when a manufacturer overpowers this fine tool. Hopefully Snap-on Tools or even Harbor Freight can offer something similar at a much lower price.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Only available in white

Best tool for the job

Best tool for the job. I have been in the maritime business for over 40 years. I've broken almost every end cap removal tool and usually have to resort to a percussion gun. After breaking my last Yamaha and then snap-on tool, I took the plunge and purchased this set. I had to reprint 2 saltwater engines, Yamaha 115 '06 and '07. I used this set and a 1/2" cheat bar and all six end caps came off easily! I was surprised. I called a few friends in the industry and let them know I finally have a…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Low maintenance
