Review on Chaco Women's Z2 Classic Sandal, Black, 7 Wide: Stylish and Comfortable Footwear for Wide Feet by Amy Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Big size and style; Couldn't get comfortable

I used to buy these sandals in a size 7 and 8 from a local store but they were too small and too big respectively. I love the simple design of the Chaco sandals and really wanted them to fit me so I went for the 7 Wide. If you're really in-between sizes like me then this is the perfect 7.5 because they are wider and appear slightly longer than a 7 but still smaller than an 8. Although the chacos looked and fit well, I could just do not help, but get used to their feelings. Everyone says they take time to get used to, but I found it hard to want to put my feet in them because they were causing me pain in my legs and feet. I put a lot of stress on the inside of my foot, so I didn't like the noticeable arch support. The slip-resistant bottom of the sandal is a nice feature, but it's quite rough, so I'm not surprised to hear people get blisters from it, even after breaking in. For the first few weeks of owning them, I decided to return them and not risk being stuck with $100+ shoes that I wouldn't be happy in. These shoes just didn't fit me personally. They are nevertheless made of good, hard-wearing material and have a stylish, casual look. If you are looking for a similar sandal with a softer insole/sockliner, I recommend the Teva sandals. I just bought a pair and am totally in love with them. They give me a simple, natural strappy look that I wanted from a shoe that better fits my foot.
