Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Bostitch BTFP72327 Ball Drain Valve by Mike Rubenstein

Why don't air compressors come with them!?

I have a 20 gallon Craftsman air compressor that I bought about 10 years ago. The drain valve on the underside had to be turned with pliers, which is a big problem considering it's on the underside of the compressor. It was always such a pain. Over time the pliers abraded the rough surface to turn the screw and it was still leaking so I bought one to replace. That went smoothly and it was helpful that the new drain valve was already supplied with pipe grease. Now bend and turn, open or close, very easily. The handle has good tension, making it easy to turn with precision. You can choose to deflate slowly (quietly) or deflate fully and deflate quickly (loudly). Worth every penny. I had no issues with ground clearance and that was standard on the Craftsman.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not sure
