This product is absolutely amazing, first of all, my daughter is 20 months old and weighs about 28-30 pounds. It fits her so well and is snug enough around her small body. It is secure in the life jacket, it will NOT slide off or become detached. The raised chest piece helps keep the head and body upright. And parts of the hands. It's made out of layers of foam so you don't have to worry about it popping like traditional "hand floats" which I do NOT recommend for younger children. I hope this helps a mom or dad looking for something safe for their little ones to enjoy in the water. As always, be careful in any water with children. This is my second purchase so the designs on the life jackets are so cute. And the price is $20-25 to save your kid in and around the water. Priceless!
