Good scanner, EXCELLENT technical support

We bought this scanner to scan the ISBNs of our large personal library and upload them to LibraryThing in bulk. It serves that purpose well; It's easy to hold, fast to scan, and has a very long battery life (we've had it for a week now and haven't charged it yet). Because it's a "wedge" scanner, meaning the computer treats it like a keyboard, it actually works with any computer you have that has a USB-A port, Windows, Linux, Mac or Chromebook features. The included instructions are sparse at best, and the "change settings by scanning a barcode" interface is clunky (but don't ever lose that little book of barcodes!). However, this is more than made up for by the fact that their tech support is really very good and fast. For example, we had trouble syncing with our Mac Mini and tech support responded in less than 3 hours with instructions that fixed the issue. Some non-obvious things that will save you the time of contacting tech support: If the scanner doesn't turn off, it will go to sleep mode by itself - if it's not already in "Save" mode, it will first then woken up again can sync with the key - the radio key has a theoretical range of 300 feet but doesn't account for walls and floors; the signal is easily blocked by them. I recommend using save mode.
