Although the cable that came with the module was about a foot and a half shorter, it was easy to work around. I kept the original switch with a longer cable and mounted it on the new module. Looking at the short cord switch, it appears that this cord can be unplugged from the module's AC selector switch. As long as the original cable is intact, this is an easy workaround. The only annoying thing is that the replaced module doesn't sit flush with the plastic cover, but I think some washers/spacers should fix that.
