Low quality switch

Heater switch barely lasted 6 months before it started to fail. Revain sent me the manufacturers warranty and said I should contact Standard, Billy from Standard said I should have contacted Revain as they are the reseller and are responsible for the warranty. And here I am with a defective part :(

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

This is a quality product

This was for my 1999 Jeep TJ Wrangler. First I bought a cheaper device and it had problems. I could see someone assuming the product was working correctly and thinking there was something else wrong. I compared it to my old one and the old one worked better so I knew it was a new part. I returned it and bought this one and it worked great! I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

If all you want is a fan switch

As with other reviews, the dial to switch the vents from front vents to floor vents or defroster didn't work on what I got and the vacuum lines did not for quite a while. Good thing I only needed one fan switch so I just removed the vent switch from my old one and put it in this new one and reused the old vacuum lines. In my case, that's better than paying $800 to the dealer for a new AC switch.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Not for 2004 TJ For A/C

WILL NOT FIT 2004 JEEP TJ The replacement wire that goes there behind the dash is 1 foot 6 inches shorter. It should wrap around the back of the glove box. On some newer models the cable (technically the hoses) has actually been relocated requiring a shorter extension like this unit has. BE SURE and double check where this cable ends and how long it should be. I have to send it back. Very frustrating! A cable is required.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Attention buyers ::: on switches and relays

Received, installed, works great ::::up to 3 days after warranty/return date! The shock switch is out of service: no high shock, wait for the others to go out. buy local. No need to buy additional guarantees / only guarantee the product! Follow-up: 02/10/2020: I endured 3 speeds in the hot Florida sun for a year: now the entire unit is out of service. Look elsewhere for a better product. pay more if you can. Don't buy cheap and expect long-term happiness!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Negative impression

DOA - Best Upgrade in Switches

Updated to 4 stars - they sent me a replacement and no further problems with the new part. Bought to restore my 2000 TJ. Like the others, this unit only blows up and also blows off the bottom and vents. Unfortunately my jeep was in the shop for another job and I missed the return date. There is also no information about any kind of warranty by Standard Motor. I'll try contacting them directly or just drop another $100 and get one of the advanced cars.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Has problems. Suitable for switches and relays

Every Jeep owner knows that when the heater is turned on, the center consul gets very hot, which often leads to malfunctions in the setting of the thermostat, fan speed, temperature and ventilation selection, the lights come on when you turn them on, your headlights are dim, flashing and usually don't work. So I'm wondering how long this will last if it burns through within the first year of receipt. I'll update this so everyone knows, but this is definitely an issue I think people should be…

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • There are nuances

Doesn't quite match 2006 Jeep Wrangler

Although the cable that came with the module was about a foot and a half shorter, it was easy to work around. I kept the original switch with a longer cable and mounted it on the new module. Looking at the short cord switch, it appears that this cord can be unplugged from the module's AC selector switch. As long as the original cable is intact, this is an easy workaround. The only annoying thing is that the replaced module doesn't sit flush with the plastic cover, but I think some…
