This broom is compact and perfect for one-handed use to quickly sweep up the leaves, mulch and grass clippings that land on my porch and sidewalk. It also became my 3 year old granddaughter's favorite broom as she helped me sweep. Not sure if you can tell from my photos, but the bristles are thin on the ends, not as dense and finely trimmed as in the seller's photo, so it's not very good for sweeping fine debris like loose ones sugar or sand. beach house. It's doubtful I'll use a throw for storage between uses, but it's a nice touch for shipping and gifting purposes (also doubtful I'll ever gift a broom, but someone might).
