After purchasing this product I started reading more customer reviews. It seems that many people have had problems with their device, which made me regret my purchase. I am happy to report that we had no problems. I took the device out of the box and updated the software. Everything went smoothly. We downloaded the system updates and then created all manufacturer-specific files. There was a display showing the installation status. I don't know why others have complained about the updates. It took less than an hour. Although we have super fast internet. Anyway, we hooked it up to a '98 Ford Windstar with which the transmission was struggling after an engine failure. Read the codes and erase them with your device. Trans now works perfectly! Lots of information was shown while we were there. Heck, you can adjust the idle speed! We haven't tried it, but it turned out to be easy. I didn't rate it for value for money but this one seemed able to read diesel cars at the lowest price I could see for it, but maybe there's a cheaper one? I also didn't appreciate the tech support because we don't need it. I'm satisfied so far!
