Direct OEM replacement for the original found in the Aquaclear 50 power filter, a perfect fit! I use two of these filters in all my Aquaclear 50 with Biomax bags. Never run into any problems and there are always plenty of good bacteria in the filters that work this way. Charcoal/charcoal is a waste of time and not needed in a properly maintained filtration system and reservoir, so I'm using the extra space a charcoal bag would normally take up to add another of these!
