Loved the performance, price and perfect fit for Marina hob after a simple cut with scissors. Use it first, then the medium pore foam, and finally the cleanser. Crystal clear water.

Pretty thin and small, not too strong. Cheap and disposable. I use them for pumps and charcoal filters in pet fountains. They cope with their task, they can be rinsed several times, but after several washes they fall apart. This size is the best value for my purpose.

This product is used in combination with other media. It works well. In my tank I use this as the first stage to collect solids. I follow that with either charcoal or a phosphorous swab. In the third step, I use a bag of biological media for biological filtration. The system works well.

Product as described, perfect for the cooktop on my 10 gallon QT. Catches larger materials as they pass through the cooktop but does not impede water flow. The sponge can be washed for reuse. I can usually use one for a good 3 months before replacing it. You will probably be able to use it for much longer; However, because of their low price, they are easier to replace after a while. We will definitely keep buying them.

Direct OEM replacement for the original found in the Aquaclear 50 power filter, a perfect fit! I use two of these filters in all my Aquaclear 50 with Biomax bags. Never run into any problems and there are always plenty of good bacteria in the filters that work this way. Charcoal/charcoal is a waste of time and not needed in a properly maintained filtration system and reservoir, so I'm using the extra space a charcoal bag would normally take up to add another of these!

Up until this last order in February they were great from this brand. The filters turn pink and my tank gets dirty. I had to install Jerry filters from my 10 gallon tank to filter my larger tank until I can get more of these filters from another brand. I know another brand of pool filter sponges was recently hacked and the people who championed them were selling little sponges that absorb pool oils and the fake sponges turned pink. And now I can't buy them anymore because it says they're not…
