Review on ๐Ÿถ NVK Dog Training Collar - Rechargeable Remote Collar with 3 Training Modes, Beep, Vibration, and Shock | Waterproof and 1600Ft Remote Range by Kevin Urena

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent collar, a big mistake.

Pros: Beep is loud enough to locate dogs even when they're out of sight. Signal strength is good over a long distance, even with trees, a barn, vehicles, etc. Battery life is excellent and I really appreciate that both the remote and collar have a battery indicator on the remote to let you know when they're low. The locking mechanism works well. Cons: To switch between collars when you have more than one dog, you have to face away from the dogs and hold down the channel button with both hands while turning the knob on top of the remote. and watch the screen to see which of the 4 channels the remote control is on. It's cumbersome, time consuming, and the pen is finicky. It also doesn't encourage proper training for your dog because there is too much time between when they do something wrong and when you can correct them. Hypothetically, this could mean the difference between stopping your dog from running outside and looking up just in time to see him get hit by a car. This needs to be changed. I have not yet tested if the collars are waterproof as they claim. Usually these collars don't fit me as we live on an island and the dogs often get wet. Most collars that claim to be waterproof only need to go to the beach once before they stop working entirely. We will see.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • So far, so good
