This rug is SUPER soft and feels great underfoot. It comes folded, so it takes a while to unfold. So maybe toss it in the dryer if you want to speed up the process. The carpet is very thin, but for me it's not critical. I plan to put it next to the guest bed in my new house. However, the "non-slip" base is a kind of failure. It doesn't grip as well as advertised, but it's a lot less slippery than a non-grip mat. This has nothing to do with the non-slip backing of a Target bath mat, for example. I don't know if I would use this rug in the bathroom if I didn't add something to make it more slip resistant, but I think this rug would be perfect in the guest room. I love the pattern and again the fabric is SUPER soft.
