I first ordered 2 of these to organize my kitchen table. There was room for 2 stacks and I liked the result so I bought 2 more. A friend liked it, ordered. Now reorganized a bit and ordered 2 more. I won't stack them so won't install them, but they're actually better than the older model with plastic lids (sturdy enough I think) on both shelves. Stacking is also more durable, if desired, as you can remove the rubber tabs on the top shelves and insert the legs into the tubes that connect to the corners of the bottom shelves. I had no issues with the top shelf not staying in place, but this should ensure it doesn't. I was happy with the old ones and even happier with this version.
