Misleading, Not Steel

The description says they are made from heat treated steel. However, they bore easily and generate chips similar to cast iron. The spark test also indicates cast iron. The shaft holes are not framed and are not very accurate. The flange is suitable for non-critical applications. I wouldn't use them for high RPM applications or for transmission.
