For my own use, the echo sounder fulfills my requirements; I received exactly what I requested and nothing more or less. During one fishing trip, it was utilized on land, the echo sounder worked for over 40 minutes, and the battery charge was depleted by 20-25% while it was operating in GPS mode. Some pros: 1. a state of compactness 2. The picture quality of the screen on your smartphone or tablet is almost certainly going to be an order of magnitude higher than the picture quality of an echo sounder with a built-in screen that falls into the same price category. 3. Cost in relation to output 4. The manner in which the customer is served, from the product's packaging to the stickers that are placed on it to the assistance that is provided when using the echo sounder 5. Identification of species found at the ocean floor 6. Identification of the fish's size as well as the depth at which it is located 7. There are some nice extras included, such as a multi-tool and a case designed for night fishing; however, the holder for a smartphone strikes me as a rather niche piece of equipment. Having this drawback: Sometimes the connection is lost, but it's probably my fault, and it's easy to get it back; all you have to do is either reconnect to the echo sounder or restart the application. Either way, it should work again almost immediately.
