When I needed a new Frieling press tank (I took another one to the beach and left it there) I decided to try this black one. I liked my silver one and had no doubts I'd buy another Freeling (if you use one of these, take your lousy Bodum and put it on top of a bunch of things "to give to the kids"). The black, which costs about $20 more than the silver, gets a lot of cool points. In addition, the new one has a double-layer sieve to "prevent more particles from getting into the coffee served”. Well, grinding your beans to the correct French press size will preserve the amount of particles in your coffee cup. in any case at least! But seriously, this is a great -- and cool -- pot
