My son loves Paula's Choice products so I ordered him a lip product but I use it too. Paula's Choice is a trusted name - you know everything will be brutally free and thoughtfully worded. But every line has hits and a few misses, so I'm glad it was a hit. I love the cooling metal applicator and the product itself far exceeds expectations. I've tried a lot of different lip care products and I gravitate towards heavier products like masks because they seem to last longer. Despite its thinner consistency, BOOST lasts and lasts for hours of drinking and talking. It looks a bit shiny when first applied, which my son didn't like, but this effect wears off quickly. It's a good base for lipstick or gloss when I go somewhere. Hydrated lips look plumper, but they're not plump by the standard definition: no pepper, no sting. One caveat: Paula's choice has just been adopted by Unilever. We will be monitoring this transition to ensure the line does not change its philosophy (ie will it decide to sell in China and start testing on animals?). Otherwise it's a solid product, a great basic product for everyday use.
