They are not 100% high quality stainless steel and due to Vancouver Island's humidity they have some rusting on the outside (just a few spots). There appears to be some contamination in several places on each beaker. To be honest I would have bought it anyway, that's hardly a deal breaker. They're beautifully formed and there wasn't any weird rusting on the inside, although I probably splashed seawater on the outside a few times on the boat. Great for hiking. Grab some of the cozy stuff the cafe gives you so you don't burn your hands.
