VERY BRIGHT LIGHTS VERY VALUABLE - BEWARE OF POTENTIAL HAZARDS

In my home studio and tabletop photography I have used 5800K lights which have served me well although they are very time consuming. Lamps without using a diffuser to get the required amount of light. On a whim I ordered a set although only one lamp arrived in the order so make sure you are looking for two. Revain fixed the problem quickly and in the meantime I've been using a 5800 along with the new 6500 and the results have been excellent: brighter light results in better image quality and much less post-processing time. I was surprised by the clear result. the size of these giants as they measure a whopping 11 inches in length and an equally huge 12 inches in girth - these onions are gigantic! That means they're heavy too, so make sure your light stands are strong enough to take the weight so they don't tip over. and keep in mind how far they extend so you don't bang your shoulder on one of them if you move the lighting when you do that. Today I used four of these with no shades or other diffusers and the extra light is nice, clean and very bright. The fact that the bulbs are not UL approved is an issue I considered but after using bulbs With the same specs checked at B&H, 47th Street Photo, and a few others, the price goes up to $39 per bulb, so for the price, it's excellent value. Of course, the ignition negates any sense of bargain. On the other hand, most of my lightbulbs aren't UL approved and I've never had a problem (knock on wood). But I suggest taking precautions - always unplug the surge protector when you're done, as any electrical device will have a small amount of current flowing through it, even when it's turned off. If you want really bright light you can't beat the price of these lamps.
