As for the ingredients, Crayola

Most people who buy a product called Natural Beeswax Crayons are looking for a non-petrochemical alternative to your standard Crayola chalk. If I had been more diligent, I would have realized that this product is not the right one. The box doesn't list the ingredients (although another reviewer found them; beeswax is only a secondary ingredient, not the main ingredient). Also, nowhere on the packaging does it even say "non-toxic". It's safe to assume it's positioned as a toddler's crayon, but the lack of that important feature is really disturbing. I chose this product over other products clearly labeled as 100% beeswax because I was dazzled by the color palette (obviously my little one doesn't need that choice). I also like the sturdy box that keeps the crayons organized (it's easy to tell if there are loose crayons in the empty slots). Cons, in addition to what I wrote in the first paragraph: the chalk spreads on the skin if you hold it long enough. I don't remember Crayola doing that. I think this is what gives the crayon a smooth feel when you draw with it. But now you get wax, paint, and mysterious ingredients in and on you (and your stuff). And the glossy labels slip off the crayons very easily. This is a product I want to love, but the misleading name of the product and the lack of specific labeling regarding ingredients and toxicity is worrying and undermines the credibility of the company.

  • New
Cons

Ingredients-wise, might as well go Crayola
