We have the worst case scenario for a one window bird strike: an almost entirely glazed house extension with bird feeder. It is not difficult to determine where most of the blows were (traces of feathers); Each large panel measures approximately 3 feet by 7 feet. We have dispensed with the bottom row of glasses. Collisions have decreased by 80-90%, and the rest seems to lead to fewer deaths (maybe the birds at least see something and try to turn away at the last moment)? You really need to experiment with the location on them (and do this all year round as you are dealing with sunny/cloudy days, different sun angles etc.) and obviously there is a trade-off between the number of these spots for aesthetic reasons /habitable to reduce impact on birds. Very easy to install and move. Just make sure you spray PLENTY of WATER all over the window and then thoroughly wet the surface of the decal. You can then simply move the decal around the window to position it exactly where you want it. Then simply remove the water with a mop (credit card, plastic squeegee, etc. will probably work too) and dry gently. The material seems durable, but time will tell. These rooms heat up to over 120F in the summer and 20/teens in the winter, so I'll report on durability. But for the price and compared to the alternatives, this product is definitely worth trying to help your feathered friends avoid your windows.
