Nothing special. We've been using it for about a year now and it works like new. I'm a Marine mechanic (not US Marine) and use them daily. It is used for cutting electrical wires and cables, hard and soft cotter pins, cable ties and shifting cable cores. Jaws like new. Used the channel block for years until my last good pair was gone. Bought 3 pairs of brand new CL shoes, none of which lasted a week until the front hem broke off. The 3rd pair was not used for anything other than copper wire and within a week they broke off. A year with Kleins still like new. I'm not sure but I think they are still made in the USA. If not, then it doesn't matter because they work. I know this review is the same downvote for Channel Lock but wanted to show the difference between day and night and my experience. Costs more? sure, but not as much as a few CLs a week.
