This is a very serious extension shaft with a nice finish. HD offers a similar element that is smaller in diameter and doesn't look as well machined, nor does it have a locking groove. I dropped the 6mm set screw and found one with a 1/8" hex head that matched the supplied hex wrench. I routed the wires through a series of narrow joists that these extensions came in handy for. The electrician then used a 3 foot flexible bit to do the same with much more ease. live and learn
