I installed one of these on my 1989 BMW 3 Series above the trunk closest to the rear bumper which is used to store food in Folded in half, it holds even heavy items such as car parts and tools amazingly effectively. I then bought another one and installed it in the rear cargo area of our 2000 BMW 5 Series Touring. In touring traffic, it's not big enough to cover the entire truck bed, but that's not a problem. Because it's quite stretchy (contrary to what other reviewers have noted), it prevents dumpsters of auto stuff from sliding around and leaves room for other random stuff. I did not use the fasteners provided, opting instead to tie the mesh to the existing mounting rings on the vehicles. I recently bought a third grille for our 1998 BMW M3 but unfortunately it's too big to hold anything in this car and I had to order the grille from BMW for 5 times the price.
