I rarely write bad reviews as most products work well and live up to the advertising. But for some, this article is a waste of money. In short, it works very well with round pens, but poorly with hexagonal pens like the classic Palomino Blackwings or Papermate Mirado. The lead comes out jagged, as if it was cut through rather than sharpened. Really unsuitable for some pens. Strange that it has to be like this as all pencils have the wood sharpened to the barrel, but I'm writing as I test and will now be ordering a new sharpener for my "good" Palomino pencils. (By the way, there is a special sharpener made by Palomino Blackwing, but that also had its own problems. It leaves a head start. Now I'm at a loss as to how to find a good sharpener. Any ideas?)
