Review on Kensington Multi-Display Adapter with DisplayLink - USB 3.0 (K33974AM) in Black by Julian Banks

Great, and make sure you download the latest drivers

I used this with my Macbook Air running Mavericks so I could simultaneously connect a monitor via the monitor port and then display on the projector while keeping the laptop itself closed. I'm a teacher and I got tired of opening and closing the lid, swapping cables and keys while using the projector and disliked the potential cumulative physical wear and tear that could occur. This adapter is exactly what I wanted. It works well with the computer and the connected projector is treated like another monitor. I can mirror or drag objects from one screen to another. The computer recognizes when it is connected or disconnected. I also had no issues with lag or audio/video mismatch. I can leave the laptop closed, plug everything in, use a wireless keyboard and mouse, and everything works great. However, it should be noted that you really don't need to worry about installing the driver that is included on the CD that comes with it. Go to the Kensington website, find the desired support page and download the latest driver directly from there. At first I used the driver on the CD and had problems. Mouse speed was strangely slow and the mouse pointer would twitch on the projector display as it passed through the adapter. I wasn't very happy with that. However, the CD driver was one or two versions behind. When I installed the latest driver, the problems went away and everything worked great.
