My dealer charged me about $100 to replace my filter. My first issue with their request was the cost, the second was that the Ford Filter Minder for my Super Duty didn't even start registering. Because the service advisor was so persistent, I decided to go the do-it-yourself route. Reasonable price for a real original filter. It took some adjustment to put the lid on, that was the only problem. I used a high quality digital postal scale to weigh the new filter and then compared it to the old filter. I had collected about 0.2 ounces of dust etc on the old one so it still has plenty of life left.
