I bought this to fix a cracked exhaust manifold on my 2004 Honda Civic. Since the catalytic converter is built into the exhaust manifold on this car, replacing it would be very expensive. So before I bought a new cat I decided to try this thing. I smeared it on quite thickly and let it set for several hours, holding it with a hair dryer for a while. I let it dry for about 8 hours before putting it back on the engine block. As I tightened the bolts, I noticed that a crack had formed in the JB weld, so my manifold didn't need to be perfectly flat. So I just put a bit more JB weld over the crack and let it dry for another 24 hours after that. Since then I have driven the car several times and the problem seems to have been solved. I heard a "tick-tick" sound when I first started the car and also smelled exhaust fumes through the vents while idling. Both problems have now been fixed. I don't expect this to last forever but my car is 17 years old and has 190,000 miles on it. So if I get out of the sewers for another year or two, I'll be happy.
