Very simple and easy to install! I bought them in black and antique black. They look beautiful but are affordable. I recommend that you don't use the maximum size allowed unless absolutely necessary. I ordered 28" to 48" for our 40" wide window but if you want the curtain to hang a little over the window its max width was 48", the middle will be a little thin so have we increase the size. Luckily we had 2 extra extensions for the ones we bought for the double window that went up to 144 inches. We could use these parts to make the rod strong. Generally, if your window is 40 inches or larger, choose 48 inches or larger to avoid center sag. The bars are hollow which is good, they are light but they tire when fully extended. I wish the rubber ring was tighter on the extensions but once you put the set screws in there is no problem. Also, 48" and up comes with 3 or more brackets so you can add one in the middle for support. We had them in my son's room for 1.5 years and never had any problems. Otherwise, I recommend these rods!
