Almost as advertised - especially for the retro look. I've seen reviews complain about the sound, and while it's not on Bose par, it's not bad for a tabletop radio - and if, like me, you're old enough to listen to the radios it's modeled after , there is no comparison - then people would pay a fortune for anything that sounded so good. If you're looking for great sound at high volumes, spend a few hundred and buy something else. If like me you just want a nice looking vintage style radio that works well then this is a good choice for the price.
