Review on Intel G3258 Pentium Processor BX80646G3258 by Stanislaw Was ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

In terms of price-performance ratio, the Intel Pentium G line on the s1150 socket is exactly in the top three, if not in first place among all modern CPUs. Initially, I did not expect such speed from such an inexpensive processor, but Intel, perhaps, again and again proves to us that it wants leadership in all market segments, and achieves this. And I proved to myself and my friends that you can build a low-budget GAMING PC with upgrade potential for less than $350.

Pros
  • This processor only consists of them, advantages, and consists! - cheap and economical - efficient and fast - cold, even under the stock cooler, even after several hours of intensive play, it did not heat up above 39-40 degrees (although I immediately changed the thermal paste to Arctic Cooling, but if this is troublesome for you, don't strain yourself ;)) - Suitable for budget game enthusiasts (like me), paired with a GTX650 and 4Gb RAM delivers over 30 fps in all modern shooter games at 720p quality. - there is a built-in video comparable to a GT610 type video - it will also work to drive most new games, however, at low / medium settings. - the main plus, which is why I took the baby - the possibility of a serious upgrade of the system only by changing the CPU to a new i3 or i5 Haswell
Cons
  • - for such a price they simply do not exist! (although some bores would call the almost complete lack of overclocking potential a disadvantage)
