This product works great in a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. Direct replacement, looks better than the mirror it replaced. There is no fun effect at all. I'm not sure what people are talking about. Objects look sharp and crystal clear. On initial installation I could not get the tabs to push into the motor/gimbal assembly without requiring enough force to break the mirror. As in the old days, when you attached the grips to the bike handlebars, I thought of Windex! I spray painted the tabs onto the mirror and motor/gimbal assembly to keep both sides nice and wet and then the mirror snapped into place just right. The reason Windex works so well is that when wet it acts like a lubricant but evaporates completely leaving the surface dry so the mirror won't come loose again, at least not without using more force than was needed to install it was required. super easy. Highly recommended! Just don't forget Windex!
