I bought this mini projector so my wife and I could watch movies in the bedroom without spending hundreds of dollars on a big screen TV. Our setup required a few extra parts to get everything working the way we wanted, but I'll get to that later. Straight out of the box, this is a very compact device. We can easily install or position it to get the best projection size. The device has an HDMI input, a VGA input and 2 USB ports. Your HDMI-enabled devices (e.g. switchers, Xbox, DVD players) connect directly to it. The package contains the necessary cables for this basic function. It also includes a remote control but our kit did not include batteries. Also included is a 3-wire audio/video cable. Getting this to work with your phone requires a few inexpensive items. If your phone supports it, you can buy a USB-C to HDMI adapter and connect your phone directly to it. Samsung phones seem to work great this way. Apple phones require a Lightning to HDMI adapter cable and are also plug and play. My Google Pixel phone was NOT connected to the network so I had to buy a Chromecast to connect my phone. This turned out to be a great solution for me. The sound on the device comes from the speaker on the projector itself. There are a few days to improve the sound. My solution was to Connect the 1/8mm headphone output to an external Bose speaker. Any speaker with an input will work with the appropriate adapter. Overall, I'm happy with my personal home theater system. The biggest complaint I have is that the instruction manual is incomplete. I really wish this device had bluetooth support but for what I paid this device delivers and then some. I recommend this projector for movies on the go or as a main phone mirror at home.
