Very easy to use useful measuring tool

I wasn't sure what exactly the "regulated voltage and current" power supply is. The description is not very clear. Now that I'm holding it in my dirty little hands, I totally understand and love it! How to use the current setting. This is both a current limiter and an ammeter. In other words, you can adjust it so that the current does not exceed a certain value. Install it by setting the DC voltage to around 5 volts, shorting out the power supply and setting the current to the maximum you'll ever want in your current project. Cut open, adjust tension and go. If your circuit tries to draw more current than you set, a small hammer will fly out the back of the power supply and crash your project. :) No, actually the voltage drops. The great thing is that you can read the current draw so you basically have a current counter in your project which is REALLY NICE! It also seems very accurate: I set mine at 0.500 amps and it went up to 0.499 and didn't bother. Wonderful! By the way, this ability SHOULD allow you to charge a LI-ION battery. Set the maximum current to 500mA and the voltage to 4.2 or less. The battery initially draws over 500mA so the voltage drops to the correct voltage which provides 500mA. Once it reaches the point where full voltage is reached, the current drops. NOTE: If the battery voltage is less than 2.8V, please charge it at 10mA first before fully charging. If the current is less than 50mA, you're done. Great supply for the lab! Get 2 so you can have two separate voltages!
