Works very well for an 'instant fix' type product. After about a season, the foil begins to fall apart as it is very flimsy and flimsy. You can stick your own foil on, but it's kind of a pain. In any case, it works very well until it falls apart. I already have two of these and plan to wrap my own foil on them to give them more life. Velcro is cool. I use them in autocross to prevent overheating of the exhaust manifold and CAT temps of my intake pipe leading to the throttle body. It helps reflect most of the radiant heat and also deflects hot air rising from the bottom up. I was too lazy to create a custom air intake sleeve so this was a good temporary fix. Spraying the material with water cools a bit more, but I suspect it helped separate the film even faster. DEI does some pretty useful things, and this one is no exception. IMHO the price is a bit high.
