Review on πŸ”’ Dorman 931-303 Front Driver Door Lock Actuator Motor Compatible with Cadillac / Chevrolet / GMC Models by Ricky Lahoti

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very easy to replace.

If you have a GM car, chances are everything about your car is a mess. All 4 burned out on my 2009 Tahoe because of the cheap 20 cent Chinese electric motor in that lock block. Of course, it is almost impossible to replace only the failed electric motor, it is easier to replace the entire drive. Replacing this actuator is quite easy, it's about 30 minutes work with regular tools, there are many videos on You Tube describing the replacement step by step. This Dorman unit looks identical to the factory unit that was in the car, I hope they put a better quality electric motor in it. Update: Purchased May 5th 2015, unit died April 18th 2017 (died as usual) it has a lifetime warranty so Revain will send a replacement (thanks Revain). Let's see how long the exchange lasts. GM is even worse quality, they hardly last more than a year and I don't think they have a lifetime warranty. I'm starting to think this is bad GM design.
