Easy to use, not heavy, good bike lock repeller. Let's face it, this is clearly not the most secure bike lock, but when you look at locks like this, it's clearly not your primary concern. I bought it mainly to deter pesky opportunists aka thieves. I live in a fairly small town which is also fairly safe with a large bike community so most people respect each other's property. but children will be tempted, and so will adults. With a large number of tourists visiting during the summer months of skiing, there are times when any blackout period is enough as a deterrent. I chose this one because it is a digital lock that the user can set and therefore remember. I didn't want to carry around more keys than I need, especially for something I don't have to lock every day, or remember to take with me on the days I do. But seeing the locked bike is usually enough to scare off most opportunists. Yes, if someone brought bolt cutters, they would probably melt like butter. So if you're looking for a more reliable one, I'd start looking into the U-lock. The curls on it allow me to wear the lock right on the bike. I usually let it wrap around the top tube and handlebars which doesn't interfere with movement, my knees or any other parts or use of the bike. It came with a lock attachment, but it was too small for the tubes of my bike, which is a gravel grinder. I don't find my whistles particularly oddly shaped or particularly large, so I'd like to warn users that there's a good chance this won't work for you either. But as I explained before, you should be able to figure out how to pack it up so it doesn't get in the way. It's also entirely rubber, expect it to actually be a combination lock so it doesn't spoil the beautiful shine of your bike.
