As the name suggests, it worked! Although the instructions are a bit lacking, it is very easy to install. Simply lift the back of the cart, remove the rear passenger wheel, remove the two bolts holding the existing magnet mount to the shaft, then replace this unit with the old one. The old magnet slips off immediately and this falls back into place. Replace the bracket bolts and then the wheel and you're done. I spent almost 20 minutes looking around for more detailed instructions. I should have just gone ahead and removed the wheel to start with. Once the wheel is off it becomes obvious what to do. I ran a speed test (a free app on my phone) on my Precedent from 2012 before and after installing it. Before installation the top speed was 14/15 mph. After adjusting it was 18/19 mph. The installation took about 10 minutes after I decided to just go for it and stop looking for instructions. Acceleration stays the same, but there's a definite, definite increase in speed on the top end. Very happy with the performance gain for the money.
