Review on Hankook Tire Winter i*Pike RS2 W429 215/50 R17 95T by Wiktor Marciniak ᠌

Good product, good quality, not bad.

I am writing from Siberia, we already have snow and ice and porridge, I tried the tire on all surfaces. To begin with, the negative experience of using the winter Hankook was in 2022, after that I took only the wheels of the Finnish company for the winter))) Haku 5.7, and last year Nordman 7 because. Khaki 7 was gone. This time I chose between Continental and Khankuk (I didn’t like Nordman, but I had to pay 48-60 thousand for a set of 8.9 khaki in my size). Konti in my size were only 2022-made and compared to German ones (in a different size) they were kind of dumb (the sidewall is very soft, and the rubber itself is somehow hard and looks like a Deshman summer one, it’s shiny and the lamellas are very hard to divorce). The toad did its job and a set of Korean tires was purchased for 31 thousand. The rubber is very quiet for such a number of spikes, I changed my shoes at a temperature of + 5 + 8 degrees, I rolled it on dry asphalt, and after running in about 500 km, I was very glad that I bought these wheels. this is the quietest spike I have ever ridden, of course there is a little noise, but it is much quieter than Khaki5,7 and Nordman, In positive temperatures, the rubber roll, even at 55 profile and a pressure of 2.4, began to carefully rebuild and go into turns. But this was offset by the comfort of rubber - joints, crossings, small irregularities became almost invisible in motion. The valency went away when the temperature dropped, or maybe I became more careful, I slow down in advance, I don’t play chess in winter all the same))) Now for the sad stuff: I don’t know under what conditions the tests are being carried out, but on the very first ice I realized that I could easily leave the track if I exceeded the speed limit, and on icy asphalt I can’t stop as quickly as on the seventh Jacque and the fact that Hankuk doesn’t far gone in terms of safety on the winter road since 2022. It seems to be rowing in the snow, but there haven’t been any special snowfalls yet, and I don’t particularly bother about this on all-wheel drive. Would I buy this rubber if I knew all this? Rather, yes, there are no alternatives for this money, Nordman is worse.

Pros
  • Quietest winter stud I've ridden
Cons
  • Expected better grip on icy pavement
