It's worth it, but with one caveat.

I used to have a rotary grater, but left it when I moved out. When I was looking for another I was looking for one with a stronger construction and this is it. It turns nicely and grates the cheese. Haven't tried nuts or chocolate, but I'd recommend putting them in the fridge before chopping. I chopped up room temperature cashews but it ended up being a greasy paste because it wasn't cold and cashews are naturally greasy and that was my fault. There is one caveat. Sometimes when grating cheese, I push down on the handle firmly to push the cheese into the grater, but other times I push too hard and the plastic rubs against the plastic, causing the chips to fall into a mound of cheese. I've read this happens in other reviews but would still recommend and caution against pushing so hard. Also, as with my last rotary grater, the block of hard cheese eventually takes on a shape that squeezes into a corner of the "feed box" and stops grating because it's stuck. Simply stop grating every 30 seconds and rotate the cheese to re-establish contact with the grater. Also, the customer service was excellent. I received my grater but soon lost grip. It was entirely my fault and I was willing to pay the manufacturer for another pen, but Nancy sent me a free pen with shipping included.
