Review on ASUS VG249Q Gaming Monitor with FreeSync, 144Hz DisplayPort, Adjustable Height & Pivot, Built-In Speakers, HD by Selwyn Wooner

It works fine but I regret not having bought a 2k monitor. I only have a 4GB 3050 but it turns out it can play games at 2k, at least the older ones. As for the monitor, everything is fine, but not great. The settings are a joke, at least for me. I only use it in RTS/RPG mode for gaming but I use landscape or cinema for movies/tv shows. The stand is great, very good quality. The plug is hard to reach but I don't unplug it very often so it's ok. I say it's a good monitor, not that I can compare it to anything other than my laptop display. It sure is better than that, much bigger and better to see. It has strong viewing angles, you can see the image at very sharp angles. I like it but I would have preferred the 2k version, I just didn't think the GPU could do anything in 2k.
