Review on Freud 99 293 2 Inch 32 Inch Classical - Precision and Performance in Woodworking by Brian Garrett

Time Saver + Quality = Professional Tool

I purchased this particular profile to mimic a 1/4 molded edge on a Simpson exterior door. The 9/32" radius on the 1/4 rim is very close to the profile of the door molding. I'm making side windows for a door and using this cutter to make glass back frames and handrails for a clean exterior. Stained glass window and inner stained glass window with copper foil. This requires making two frames with the 1/4 inch bead on the outer frame facing out and the 1/4 inch bead on the inner frame facing in. between two frames. This tool is very high quality, beautifully made. Also if you want to make overlays you just need to lift the bit on the router table or router table to place the overlay profile on the picture shown for this. The router bit is actually upside down as it would be inserted in a router or molding table, the Profile at top of picture is the baseboard profile, and the profile shown on the bottom of the cutter will make the handles in the rails. *** A word of caution: my router (with the bit fully inserted into the chuck or collet) can ONLY be lowered just enough for me to shape the ends of the posts. You really should check the applicable sizes listed for this bit on the Freud website to see if it will work on your router table or router.
